Laurel House Strategic Plan: One Year Update

Laurel House created a two-year strategic plan to enhance our services and community outreach.

Our first year saw major strides in evaluating program effectiveness and developing a comprehensive marketing strategy. Our first year also included efforts in building a strong funding base and fostering staff relationships and collaboration.

Marian's Attic 20th Anniversary Celebration!

Next month is Marian's Attic's 20th anniversary, and we invite you to celebrate with us!

➤ Tuesday, August 11th: join us from 2-4 PM for a class lead by Donna, our jewelry designer! This hands-on decoupage on glass jars/vases is free and it’s going to be fun!

➤ Wednesday, August 12th: We will be welcoming State Rep. Tim Briggs and Senator Amanda Cappelletti at 4 PM for our legislative proclamation!

➤ Thursday, August 13th: Spin the wheel at checkout for a chance to win prizes, surprises, and more!

➤ EVERY DAY: We will be having giveaways: store coupons, gift certificates, and hosting some raffles (no purchase necessary)!

Get Ready for Make-A-Will Month!

Next month is National Make-A-Will Month, and Laurel House invites you to get ready by making a difference that lasts beyond a lifetime: an up-to-date will.

A Planned Gift is when a donor creates a financial or estate plan in which they formally decide to give something of value to an organization during their lifetime or at death.

Laurel House is the legacy of our Founding Mothers' vision for a safe haven for survivors of domestic violence. Become a part of our story this Make-A-Will Month and consider making a Planned Gift to Laurel House.

One of our priorities in our two-year strategic plan is evaluating and maintaining program effectiveness while keeping survivor voices at the forefront.

We recently launched a survey on our website for survivors, program participants, community partners, and more to share their experiences with Laurel House and how we can further improve our services.

Join us on September 24th, 2026, for our Breaking the Silence Breakfast at The Belle at Blue Bell Country Club.

Please join us for an enlightening breakfast event dedicated to strengthening the bridge between healthcare and survivor safety. We are coming together to explore how the medical community serves as a vital lifeline, transforming clinical settings into spaces of advocacy, healing, and immediate support.

Join us on October 10th, 2026, for our first ever Walk A Mile in Their Shoes event during #DVAM at Ursinus College.

Walk A Mile in Their Shoes is a one-mile walk to raise awareness and honor all those impacted by domestic violence in our community. All shoe types are welcome. Come as you are, walk with purpose, and be the difference.

We are excited to welcome back our friend, and event emcee Preston Elliott from WMMR's Preston & Steve!

Proceeds from the event will go directly to support Laurel House’s domestic violence shelter and supportive services. Each year, Laurel House provides life-saving services to over 2000 individuals in our community who are impacted by domestic violence.
