July—it's a capital month to celebrate our independence (see what we did there?)
Ignoring all the noise & rhetoric around us, let’s all reflect on how fortunate we are as Americans as we celebrate our Independence Day!
Would we like some independence from inflation and heat? Have we asked that question every July for like the last 3 years?
In Florida, the heat is HERE; that’s how it is. Every summer we see it—the escalated frequency of HVAC calls. Right now we have remained steadily in the mid 90s and already seen an uptick in service calls but so far mostly capacitors (see below) which are not an extraordinary expense.
Additionally, vendors are telling us they need a minimum threshold of $500 on remedies as they cannot hold a tech on site waiting for approval (with demand so high) for something they can remedy on the spot if given the latitude as many will come in under $500 but more than $300. Capacitors are a frequent issue and a good example. We're making on the spot decisions in the interest of the health & well being of your residents but rarely any that exceed $500.
