SBE voted on the following business items:

• Rules on Special Education, Alternative High School Graduation Requirements, and Charter Schools
• The board approved BEA waiver requests for Tacoma Public Schools and Richland School District
• The board declined a waiver request from Auburn School District
• Private Schools List for 2016-2017 
• Provisional approval of two private schools: Alger Learning Center and Saddle Mountain School
• Career and College Planning Equivalency Course of Study Concept Paper
• Competency-Based Crediting Handbook 1.0: An Implementation Guide for School Districts
• Delegation of authority to Executive Director to enter into settlement agreement with US Department of Education Office of Civil Rights
• Approval of salary increase for SBE Executive Director
