Greetings from Team McShane,
A heartfelt thank you for your prayers, concern and thoughts as Steve and Danielle welcomed Molly to the family on June 19th with a few health challenges.
For those of you who don't know, Molly had a stroke in utero, one week before she was born. When she was delivered at CHOMP it was discovered she had fluid in her lungs and was moved to Natividad NICU. Late last week she was moved to UCSF Children's Hospital where the stroke was discovered and the apneic seizures explained. One victory has been celebrated after another as a result of prayers, support and encouragement from family, friends and supporters and the excellent medical staff that has attended Molly, who is now eating on her own. Hopefully our newest Salinas resident will be back soon and is finally able to meet her big brother Patrick!
Steve and Danielle thank you for the cards that have been sent to their home and are anxious to settle in at home and read each one to Molly; they will be a great source of encouragement to the family. Ple
ase keep them and your prayers coming. Steve and Danielle would also like to show their gratitude for the UCSF Benioff Children’s hospital and their exceptional care for Molly in a few different ways,
if you would like to support or donate as well.
-1) Ernie and Patricia Amorim of the Pizza Factory on South Main would like to host a fundraiser, July 8th and 20% of the proceeds for that day will be sent to the hospital in Molly's name.
-2) If you can't make that event,
and would still like to support or donate
to the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland on behalf of Molly, you can click on the link and
make sure you click
the correct hospital in the drop down bar and that you write “Molly McShane” in the box that asks who it is in “honor” of.
In addition to the UCSF incredible team, Steve and Danielle also wish to thank -
-Community Hospital of The Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP) - Dr. Relavandi, Nurse Vicky, Dr. Alexander & especially Nurse Debbie
-Natividad Medical Center - Dr. Alsofrom, Nurse Practitioner Jana, Nurses Carolyn, Ninnie, Nurse Practitioner Trainee Roxanne & especially Alethia Pardi.
We asked Steve to give us a
for you in his own words. Daily updates are also posted on Steve's personal Facebook page.
Molly is priority here of course along with Steve, Danielle and Patrick. So thank you for your patience and understanding as campaign and council happenings are on "pause".
