Deborah Alves and Sue Angle, who head up our Awards Committee, have researched opportunities for our members to gain NGC/FFGC Awards.

  • In particular they have found opportunities for Amateur Nature Photographers that members can enter. MORE INFORMATION TO COME so look out for an email on this topic soon.
  • They also have chosen an award where SGC will display a floral design or horticulture specimen in a public space (e.g. Selby Gardens) for a club award!

The Bay

  • Has shown positive signs of starting the west lawn landscape work and it’s very exciting to see the beginnings!
  • Will be putting built-in bookshelves on the north wall around the library closet. This ingenious plan will give us some flexibility and lots of room for the books we plan to display.
