Summer is in full swing here at Elder Care Services and we hope you are able to see us at some of the local events in the community. You can catch us at the DeKalb Farmer's Market the third week of the month, the DeKalb Family Fun Fest, and the Turning Back Time Car Show in Sycamore this month! Thank you to all who came to our events in July. Strides for Change and UP, our Movie Night Fundraiser, at the Egyptian Theatre. Your support helps our efforts in bringing awareness to abuse against vulnerable adults and our programs. Thank you for your continued support and helping us keep the community safe, secure, and supported.

July is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month

July is a month to bring awareness to Minority Mental Health. It is often difficult for minority communities to seek help for their mental health. Every individual deserves the ability to seek support with their mental health, no matter their culture, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or language. If you find yourself in need of mental health services below you can find local resources that can help.

Join us at the DeKalb Farmer's Market this summer! We will be there every third week of the month until September. Don't forget to grab your veggies and fruit!

Come join us at the 10th Annual Family Fun Fest on Thursday, July 21 at Hopkins Park from 4:30-7:00 pm. Family Activates, raffles, and giveaways. We will also be at the Fizz Ehrler Memorial Turning Back Time Car Show on Sunday, July 31st in downtown Sycamore.

Updates from Elder Care Services

New Program Available

HOMEMEDS is a free review of all your medications by a pharmacist. For those participating in the program, one of our team will put together a list of all prescribed and over-the-counter drugs. They will then be reviewed by a skilled pharmacist. If there are any problems found the pharmacist will work with you and your doctors to give you the best protection against drug interactions.
