MARK TRANSPORT SCOPE Board Member How many dentists turned camp owner/directors do you know? It is with our great honor and pleasure we share with you, Mark Transport -- SCOPE Board Member since 2018 and camp-passionate owner/director of Crestwood Country Day Camp! Mark most recently led the Long Island Camps and Private School Association (LICAPS) as president and if Mark looks familiar to you, it's probably because his media presence and recognizable voice have been out there making camp happen in the summer of 2020, for those that were able to open and most certainly for summer 2021! Mark has always been an advocate for SCOPE and the children who benefit from our efforts. He empowered and supported the Leadership program at Crestwood when they created Masks for Camp, a gives back initiative benefiting SCOPE last summer. Leadership participants kept it campy and sold masks they tie-dyed to their greater camp community and they sold out in less than a week! We are grateful to Mark for his continued support and can't wait to see what this summer will bring as camps across the country continue their efforts to make Strides4SCOPE! ASSOCIATE BOARD WEB PAGE NIKKI ZENKEL SCOPE Associate Board Member People and relationships have been an important part of Nikki Zenkel's professional and personal life. After successfully managing partnerships and relationships in her work at Nielsen, she's embarking on the next chapter of her professional career in the camp industry. Following in the footsteps of her father Dan Zenkel, long-time SCOPE Board Member, this is an exciting step for Nikki! Nikki brings her belief in the power of summer camp to her involvement on SCOPE's Associate Board. As the Events Chair, she works closely with members of this growing group of supporters to plan, promote, and execute individual and large scale events that engage young professionals, peer to peer, who are as camp-passionate as Nikki. Nikki jumps into her new career path at Camp Weequahic this summer and we look forward to upcoming Associate Board social events post-summer. In the meantime, you can check out Nikki and other SCOPE Associate Board participants on our updated Young Professionals web page!

Camp Kooch-i-ching, Minnesota SCOPE Midwest Camp Kooch-i-ching is a world-class wilderness camp for boys, located on Rainy Lake in northern Minnesota. The Kooch-i-ching experience promotes self-discovery in their campers, teamwork, and service to others. Campers return home happier, more confident, and with a greater sense of independence. SCOPE has proudly partnered with Camp Kooch-i-ching since 2010 to support camperships for deserving children in the Midwest to attend overnight summer camp.
