Greetings!

At the edges of springtime, Holden Village bustles with activity. Robins and swallows glide through the air, squirrels and chipmunks scurry among the trees, and a mother black bear and her cub amble through the forest.

On a blustery day in mid-March, many community members dove into the chilly yet refreshing waters of Lake Chelan for the annual Polar Plunge tradition. This practice of letting go invites renewal.

Villagers transition from a cozy winter to jump into new seasonal practices – evening walks with extended daylight, spring safety trainings, constant shoveling on slushy snow paths that melt in the sun, hosting spring break guests and late season skiers, repairs and preparations for summer crowds, and Lenten Sacred Space.

Where do you need renewal in your relationships with God, the earth, and each other? We can’t do it alone. Together, we jump into community with joyful abandon, trusting in abundance and grace.

Faithfully,
Stacy Kitahata, Mark Bach, and Kathie Bach

"What drew me to Holden Village is the community, especially following the years in which it was hard to find a community." -Olsen Pancoast
"Volunteering at Holden has given me the opportunity to work and live alongside the most amazing people. Through meal-time conversations and hikes in this mountain wilderness valley, I've come to appreciate the ways we are all deeply connected. Each of us brings our own stories to this space, each individual thread coming together, interwoven into one beautiful tapestry. Holden Village has enriched my life and expanded my world, and I am so grateful to be here." -Grace Guenthner
