Discovery Series: Improv

Young people are invited to imagine, create, and play at a drop-in improv class from The Improv Play Space, designed for students in grades 2–12.

This program offers a fun, flexible, and commitment-free way for students to explore improvisation while building confidence and creativity through collaborative storytelling.

Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 Coast-to-Coast Tour

July 21 | Amtrak Station 220 SW Main Street

Union Pacific's famed Big Boy No. 4014, the world's largest operating steam locomotive, will journey through Lee's Summit again this summer as part of a historic coast-to-coast tour to celebrate America's 250th anniversary. If you missed the locomotive the last time it rolled through in 2021, you'll have another chance to catch it on July 21!

Discovery Series: Upcycle Workshop

Bring an old garment and learn how to crop, distress, rework, and customize it into something runway-inspired with Kansas City Fashion Week. No experience needed, just bring your creativity.

Jamaican Jam

Escape to a tropical paradise without a plane ticket! Grab your friends and head to the Legacy Park Amphitheater for a FREE reggae night under the stars. This year's Jamaican Jam concert brings the island vibes to Lee's Summit from reggae favorites AZ-One and Jah Lion.
