Dear Supporters,

We value your feedback. One thing that we have heard is that those of you who are not on social media don't want to miss out on all of the news and updates we post to those platforms. So we will begin sending a monthly email sharing some of our posts from the prior month. Below, you will find some of our posts from February and March.

If you are on Facebook and/or Instagram and would like to see our posts in real-time, click on the relevant icon to begin following us.
We currently have a March Gladness campaign running to support the purchase of new athletic equipment and computers for our students.
MEET A GUARDIAN!

This is Miracle, she has guardianship of her granddaughter, who is in primary school in Rubanda.

She has noticed a positive change in her granddaughter since she got a sponsor and began school in our program. Now her granddaughter has begun helping her to do household work, and she has been reading lessons in church every Sunday.

Miracle's favorite passage from the Bible is Hebrews 12:1-3, which teaches about perseverance. She asks that we would pray for her ability to persevere; she worries about her age preventing her from caring for her grandchildren.

We are so honored to partner with Miracle to make sure her granddaughter has access to quality education and discipleship.
TWO THUMBS UP!

Godwin is giving his new motorcycle a big thumbs up!

Godwin is one of our amazing social workers. He splits his time between our Kishanje and Joy care centers. He wants you to know that he is able to get between the centers so much more quickly now and that having a motorcycle also makes home visits a breeze. Less time trying to arrange transportation means more time for him to focus on the kids he serves.

We are thankful for our hard-working staff and for the motorcycles that help them work more efficiently. Thank you to all of the donors who made the purchase of these bikes possible!
Check out our new uniforms.

These children at our Mbarara campus look very smart and ready to excel. This is the new formal uniform for our primary (elementary) level kids. They will wear this across all of our campuses. We think they look great!
Meet one of our amazing students!

This young man is working hard in hopes that he will qualify for medical school and become a doctor. His favorite subject in school is Chemistry.

He says, "I want to share the change that has come in my life since I joined the program. Now you see, since 2014, my studies have been moving on smoothly because the project ensures that I go to school on time with everything I need, all the scholastic materials.

Besides providing scholastic materials and support towards my studies, the program has also been providing support to my family members. During the lockdown when we were about to face starvation, the program provided food to us, and were were able to survive until now. My family members and I feel so proud of the program for the good work that it is doing for the vulnerable."

He added that your support "provides assurance that after graduation my future will be bright, and I'm so proud for that."

His favorite bible verse is John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
We have so many stellar students!

This aspiring lawyer loves studying history.

She said sponsorship has changed her life because she no longer is chased out of school for not being able to pay the fees.

She asked me to tell you all that she is so thankful for the support that we give to the students, and she is especially thankful for her sponsor. She says, "May God bless you all for the support you have given us. "

Her favorite bible verse, which she wanted to share with you, is Psalms 121:1-2:

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

Praise God for the work He is doing in the lives of our students. They are so thankful for your ongoing support and the hope it gives them for the future.
Lee's Trees
In the hills of Kishanje, soil erosion impacts the lives of the farmers and their ability to make a living from the land. Founding board member, Lee Mulder, personally undertook tree two planting projects in cooperation with local farmers to ameliorate this situation, one some years back and another just prior to his passing.

It is a testimony to Lee's enduring love for Uganda that he spent time working on this as he was in the hospital, battling an unexpected and aggressive cancer.

#Leeslegacy in the hills of Kishanje is a beautiful site to behold. On our recent trip, current board members had the honor of seeing what everyone lovingly refers to as "Lee's trees" - both those that have grown and the newest baby trees planted in September.

We look forward to watching these trees grow, knowing that they will benefit the region for so many years to come. We thank God for Lee and his commitment to those who called him Mzee.
We hope that you enjoy these monthly updates, and please continue to let us know how we can better serve you and keep you connected with the ministry.

Sincerely,

Amy Cox-Klug
