Did you know that 50% of students in Southampton Schools qualify for free or reduced lunch? When school is not in session, many parents rely on us to feed their families. This summer, our annual Backpack Kids fundraiser that will not only allow us to continue to feed local children in need, but also purchase clothing, school supplies, toiletries and many more essential items. The pandemic shed light on the prevalence of food insecurity, not only in our country, but right here in our town. Furthermore, it introduced our services to many people who have never visited a food pantry. Now, our new customers and those who have been registered for years, rely on us week after week to put food on their tables.

Since the beginning of June, we've distributed nutritious pantry staples, fresh produce and frozen meat to more than 500 local individuals. Our pantry is serving more than ever before -- which is why we continue to need your support.

Your gift today will feed our neighbors tomorrow.
Our Assistance Program provides a safety net for local families and individuals who are struggling to make ends meet. Here are but a few examples in June that demonstrates the impact this program makes on our community:

  • Purchased a new car seat for a local family

  • Arranged medical transportation for two local seniors

  • Assisted a single mother on disability with utility bills

  • Arranged a fuel delivery for a family
