Meet our New Parish Administrator, Kelli Tate!
Dear St. Peter’s Parish Family,
I am truly honored and excited to begin serving as your new Parish Administrator. It’s a privilege to step into this role and follow in the footsteps of Ginny, whose wisdom and leadership have deeply impacted our church community. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from her as I begin this new chapter.
My journey began in the DFW area, where I grew up, before moving to Lubbock to pursue a degree in Elementary Education at Texas Tech University. During my time there, I met my husband, Nic, and began what became a decade-long career as an upper elementary math teacher. Along the way, I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from East Texas A&M University and was humbled to receive two Teacher of the Year awards. I’ve had the joy of teaching in several communities across Texas—including Lubbock, Austin, and Kerrville.
In addition to my experience in education, I’ve also worked in the hospitality industry as the Director of Recreation at Horseshoe Bay Resort. In that role, I led four departments and managed a team of teens, college students, and volunteers—an experience that honed my organizational and leadership skills. When the position was dissolved during the start of Covid and just as we welcomed our first son, Stone, I returned to the classroom.
This past year, while on maternity leave with our second son, Hutch, I felt a clear and prayerful calling from God to pursue a new path. Though I didn’t yet know what that path would be, I chose to trust and surrender to His lead. When this opportunity at St. Peter’s arose, it was evident that this was where He was guiding me.
I am deeply grateful to be part of this parish and I’m excited to contribute to the mission and values that make St. Peter’s so special. I look forward to building relationships and walking alongside each of you in faith, service, and community for years to come.
With gratitude,
Kelli Tate
