Ontario East Talent Identification Support Project Update

OE-TISP Career Pathways gets BIGGER!

The Career Pathways pilot (part of the Ontario East OLMP for Talent Identification Strategy, OE TISP) helps students connect to local employers using the Edge Factor platform.

We've had such success on this pilot with our initial partners, the Workforce Development Board (Peterborough-Northumberland-Kawartha Lakes) and the Centre for Workforce Development (Hastings, Prince Edward and Lennox & Addington), that with support of the Ministry of Labour Training and Skills Development we're expanding the Career Pathways planning pilot to two new partners in eastern Ontario - the Eastern Ontario Training Board (Cornwall, and the Counties of Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry, Prescott-Russell and Akwesasne) and the Eastern Workforce Innovation Board (Gananoque, Counties of Leeds and Grenville, Frontenac and the Township of Loyalist, covering communities such as Kingston, Brockville, Gananoque, Prescott, Kemptville, Bath, Cardinal, Sharbot Lake and more).
Screen Based Industry Seeking Support for Funding for
New Opportunities in South Eastern Ontario
Ontario East communities may benefit from attracting production of film, television and new media to be supported by a proposed new fund.
The principals involved in an effort to secure funding to establish a new pilot program, development of a South Eastern Ontario Production Accelerator Fund (SEOPAF), for the screen based industry are looking for support for this initiative that would build on the existing success of this business in the region.
The long-term benefit includes a vision to attract new revenue to eastern Ontario and the creation and establishment of industry employment clusters – with locally trained work forces.
If your community is interested in learning more, or supporting this effort, please visit https://www.seopaf.ca/.
