Contra Costa Stands with our Immigrant Communities

Contra Costa County stands with our immigrant communities. We know recent federal immigration actions have caused fear and confusion for many across our region and beyond. Our commitment to serving all people, regardless of immigration status, has not changed.

County services like healthcare, public assistance, and mental health support are provided to all, without exception. We operate within our legal authority, focusing on community trust and public safety - not immigration enforcement.

Our community is stronger because of our differences, and we remain committed to dignity, fairness, and access for all. We also support your right to express concern through peaceful protest. In times like these, showing up for each other - in voice, in action, and in care - is how we move forward.

Our strength lies in the people who call this County home. You are not alone, and we will continue to stand with you.

Alamo Police Services Town Hall

Supervisor Andersen hosted a Town Hall meeting in Alamo on Thursday, June 5 to discuss a proposal for creating a single, consolidated Police District for all of Alamo which would provide enhanced services.

Currently there are three property tax funded Police Districts which provide supplemental police services to Alamo. The P5 Police District covers the Roundhill community and the P2B and P6 Police Districts cover other areas, but not all of Alamo.

The P2B and P5 Districts have police committees made up of Alamo residents who make recommendations to Sheriff Livingston and Supervisor Andersen about how these funds should be spent. The two committees brought forward the idea of consolidating all police districts into one single Alamo district which would provide funding for additional deputies assigned to Alamo.

The Town Hall event was attended by approximately 50 Alamo residents who heard a brief overview of the plan, followed by questions. The meeting was attended by several P2B and P5 Committee Members, as well as Lt. Dickerson and Deputy Fisher from the Sheriff's Office.

The meeting was informational only and no final decision has been made about consolidating the districts.
