PARISH NEWS AND UPDATES
SOLEMNITY OF THE BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST
JUNE 14, 2020

We are Resuming Public Masses at Martin of Tours

Dear Friends,

Greetings to you on the occasion of the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ! This Sunday, June 14, we will continue the live-streaming of Mass at 10:00 AM.

Praise God, our church will be open for public worship from Monday, June 15. However, attendance is limited and will be based on sign up.

In order to remain safe, please observe all the parish safety guidelines provided in the signup link , which are based on the guidance of both our bishop and Santa Clara County Department of Public Health. Please remember the CDC suggests people who are 65 years and older or those whose immune system may be compromised, should avoid large gatherings. As you know, Bishop Cantu has indefinitely dispensed the Sunday obligation of attending Mass.

We are asking you to make a reservation to ensure that we abide by the gathering count requirements. Weekday Masses from Monday to Friday will be at 10.00 AM in the Church and will be open for 10 persons. As usual these Masses will be also live-streamed though Facebook Live and Zoom.

On June 20, Sunday vigil Mass will be at 5.00 PM in the church open for 10 persons and will be live-streamed through YouTube, Facebook and Zoom. On June 21, Sunday, there will be three Masses - 7.00 AM, 8.15 AM and 9.30 AM in the school courtyard. These Masses will be open for 25 persons. Entrance will be the gate near the Gym.

Some important guidelines are given in the sign up for Mass section of this email. Please read them carefully. These steps are being taken to lessen the risk to you and your family and help prevent the spread of this illness during our worship time. As new information becomes available about the status of this situation, we will update our plan and practices to meet the current and evolving guidelines. We so look forward to praying with you in person from this Monday.

God bless,

Fr. Saju Joseph
