Hope this email finds you well as we head into what should be a nice weekend.
Before the weekend gets started you may want to check out the items which include some suggestions for the days ahead and a happy father's day to all the father's reading this email.....
One of those items deals with Land Use and getting Community Boards involved more quickly and armed with more information about proposed changes. While it's unlikely the ULURP changes would be officially in place by the time the Gowanus Rezoning is certified we have already sent a letter to the Department of City Planning asking that they operate as though they are in place, so that we do get more information earlier than the current process requires.
Next week we have 3 committees that will be meeting next week and they are Economic/Waterfront/ Community Development/ Housing (EWCDH) on Monday, Parks & Recreation/ Environmental Protection(PREP) on Wednesday, and Transportation/ Public Safety(TPS) on Thursday.
Seventh Heaven, the 7th Avenue Street fair running from Lincoln Place to 13th Street, is this Sunday, June 16 and it starts at noon. There is no parking permitted on 7th Avenue and some side streets on that day.
