A Listening Tour
Rev. Dr. Ashley Cleere, Executive Director
|
June 1 began my second year as the Executive Director of your Association. Over the past twelve months, you have heard from the NACCC staff dozens of times. We are always glad to offer resources to support you, our member churches. It also would be beneficial to hear from you. Toward that end, I’m planning a Listening Tour to visit all 280 NACCC churches in three years, beginning on July 1. My goals include:
- Hear what is on the hearts and minds of Congregationalists today
- Become acquainted with communities that are home to NACCC churches
- Connect Congregationalists who share interests and concerns
- Respond to questions about the NACCC
I eagerly anticipate discovering novel ways to connect NACCC churches to one another, strengthening our collaboration and furthering the Congregational Way.

Hosanna Industries
Julie Robie, Missions Coordinator
|
From Katie DeJournette, Hosanna Industries: Throughout the summer season, Hosanna Industries is privileged to work alongside hundreds of volunteers that come from a variety of backgrounds, careers, churches, skill levels and ages. This week, we will be working with several local businesses each day that are choosing to dedicate their normal working hours to serve needy families in our community! Those businesses include Glenshaw Auto, Mars Bank, Nicklas Supply, Weaver Homes, and Rich-Mar Rotary. We will be replacing 2 roofs, repairing a living room floor for a blind man, and painting for a local church. For the remainder of the summer, we will be working alongside numerous church groups, some local and some distant. We are blessed and beyond grateful for the willingness of these wonderful volunteers and friends to serve with us in this capacity. God’s work really is everyone’s business!

Preparation for Interim Ministry
|
Take advantage of this four-day educational opportunity to learn more about The Fundamentals of Transitional Leadership. Presented by the Interim Ministry Network, this course introduces theories that are fundamental to interim ministry. Through the use of case studies attendees will explore the unique dynamics of congregations in transition, and understand how to respond to loss/changes and explores alternative responses. Participants will discuss tools used in developing leadership skills that are basic to the practice of transitional ministry and examine the process that a leader goes through.
Join us on September 19, 20, 26 & 27 from 10:00am-6:00pm CDT. The Vitality Ministry council is underwriting much of the fee, and rather than costing $750 a person, participants will pay $300. An excellent value! Scholarships are also available.
Registration is open! CLICK HERE to register and learn more.
