Reminder: Development Team Capacity Applications Due June 22, 2020
As a reminder, any development team member participating in multifamily project applications to be submitted in the 2021 Housing Credit funding round who has not received a capacity approval letter from Kentucky Housing Corporation, or whose capacity approval letter has expired or will expire before the submission deadline for the 2021 Housing Credit funding round, must submit the Development Team Capacity Application by Monday, June 22, 2020.

Register Today: HUD Health@Home Webinar Series - Summer and Fall 2020
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)  Health@Home webinar series consists of four webinars that provide affordable housing rehabilitation specialists and program managers with information on integrating healthy housing techniques into their rehabilitation projects and best practices from practitioners who have successfully implemented these techniques. Registration is available.

HUD has developed a package of Health@Home guidelines that track the eight widely used Healthy Housing Principles plus an emerging ninth principle, Active Design. The guidelines translate these principles into workable property standards for local housing rehabilitation programs. Each webinar covers multiple healthy housing principles and provides attendees with case studies or best practices on how to implement them.

Information Sessions for the FHLB AHP
The online application for the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) of Cincinnati Affordable Housing Program (AHP) funds is now available along with up-to-date webinars on a variety of AHP application topics. Please join the FHLB at one of their AHP information sessions offered at 2 p.m. ET Wednesday and Thursday, June 17 and 18, 2020. Registration is available for each session listed below:

New Section 3 Training Curriculum Now Available
HUD's Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) is pleased to announce the launch of the Understanding Section 3 Training Curriculum.

This eight-module training curriculum is designed to assist HUD-funded grantees and contractors understand the basics of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968. These modules assist the user in better understanding the definition of Section 3 and how to comply with its requirements. The "Understanding Section 3" Training Curriculum includes the following eight modules:

1.    Understanding Section 3
2.    Implementation of Section 3 Requirements
3.    Procurement Requirements of Section 3
4.    Grantee Oversight Responsibilities and SPEARS
5.    Compliance and Monitoring
6.    HUD Programs Covered by Section 3
7.    Best Practices
8.    Opportunity Portal
Applications Accepted
KHC Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) began accepting applications for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program on June 1, 2020. The Section 8 online application will be available within the Applicant RENTCafĂ© by creating an account; or persons may call into KHC's Customer Service at 877-552-7368, extension 711, to complete by phone or request an application via email at hcvwaitinglist@kyhousing.org and return via email. Hand delivered or mailed applications will not be accepted. Please visit KHC's website for the list of counties served by the KHC Housing Choice Voucher program.

Please direct those interested in applying to KHC's website, under Rental, HCV RENTCafé, Applicant RENTCafé. We encourage everyone wanting assistance to register online. Applications are accepted in the order they are received.
