Time is short for collection of signatures on petitions to get the Invest in Ed initiative on the November ballot. Approval of the initiative by voters would mean restoration of an estimated $940 million annually in K-12 education funding and would help solve Arizona's teacher shortage crisis. A number of Dayspring people are working with other Valley Interfaith Project (VIP) institutions on this important initiative. More

We have been shaken and our world is hurting. Bishop Hoshibata calls us to boldly renew our commitment to be a courageous church. But what? How? House meetings can help direct us. They are relational meetings where we share our concerns, lift up the issues that we see needing change and, together, we take action. It is a simple and powerful path to sustainable social and economic change, but first we share and listen. We will be hosting multiple house meetings (via zoom) over the next few weeks. We invite everyone to join at least one of these sessions hosted by our Church & Society team. Sessions are: Tuesday, June 23 (7:00 PM), Thursday, June 25 (7:00 PM), Sunday, June 28 (1:00 PM), Tuesday, June 30 (7:00 PM) Thursday, July 2 (7:00 PM) To sign up email Bethany .

The Navajo Nation is suffering a severe water shortage which is contributing to the COVID-19 spread due to the lack of running water for hand washing. The Desert Southwest Conference of the United Methodist Church has announced its 2020 Mission Project “Water for the Navajo”. The Conference is working directly with the Navajo COVID 19 Command Center in Window Rock. They are asking specifically for funding to assist with the distribution of water humanitarian aid. To contribute, send a check made out to the church with the word "water" in the memo line or make an online donation to the "Water for the Navajo Nation" fund at www.dayspringumc.org/give . Thank you for your concern and generosity!
