A Poem of Encouragement

PROVIDENCE
By Rousseaux Brasseur

The works and ways of God are high
Above the ways and thoughts of man,
In realms beyond the starry sky
God fixed His providential plan.

Every decree of God's design
Is firmly set in heavens court,
His sovereign will and love divine
No enemy of hell can thwart.

Yet God does not sit idly by
Spectating from a throne above
For God our King, The Lord Most High
Descended to the world in love.

And unlike any other god
Our God has suffered shame and loss.
Broken and weak, drenched in His blood
He hung in pain upon a cross.

Because Jesus has suffered first
Our joy in Him is guaranteed-
When pain is at its very worst
His grace supplies our every need.

All those who trust in Him for life,
Whose confidence is in His name,
Find comfort though anguish and strife
And persevere through grief and pain.

A hidden flower buds and grows
Out of a stem that's wrapped in thorns,
And in God's time, just like the rose,
Joy blooms out of the heart that mourns.

The darkest storms which God ordains,
Although they fill our hearts with fear,
Shower His grace, disguised as rain,
Till colors bright in bow appear.

A plow that tears hard soil apart
Makes soft the ground to help the root;
So too God breaks the calloused heart
To multiply the Spirit's fruit.

Bright flowers which in sunshine bloom
Had need of plow and rainstorm both-
And like the flowers, God's people too,
Must suffer pain and trials for growth.

Not all His ways on this dark side
Of heaven can be understood,
But Christ to His beloved bride
Has promised, “All things work for good.”

Dear PBC Community,

Fall enrollment is open and we are excited to announce the launching of our first Bachelor’s degree – Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. The Fall 2020 offering of a baccalaureate degree is exciting for three reasons:

Future Christian Leaders Educated Here
Students can now stay in the valley and receive an excellent baccalaureate degree while staying engaged in ministry at their church and our community

Academic Value Increases
The academic value increases for PBC credits– both at the Associate level and the Baccalaureate level. PBC as an institution gains value in the higher education marketplace.

Positive Financial Impact
Students will not have to pay university level tuition and can potentially graduate debt free. Upon successful employment their degree increases their earning potential by approximately 40%.

As you can see, the step into four-year degrees will impact our Southern Oregon region for years to come and incrementally increase with each graduating class. Our philosophy is to add marketable programs/degrees as the needs of our region dictate.

We are open for Fall 2020 enrollment and plan to offer online and/or in person classes, maintaining COVID compliance. If you or someone you know may be interested in pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, call for an academic consultation at 541-776-9942 or go Here to register.

Feel free to contact me or Stuart Boyer, our Chief Academic Officer, if you would like to chat about how Pacific Bible College might fit your higher education goals and needs in this season of your education.

Blessings,

Mike Robinson
President, PBC
