Vestry Spotlight

Amanda Bristol was born and raised on the coast of Northeast Florida, but has called Colorado Springs home for almost 30 years. Amanda wound up here when she and her husband Mike decided to get married and start a craft brewery in Mike’s home state of Colorado. One brewery, two dogs, and three wonderful sons later, she and Mike are still working hard and enjoying life, and an important part of that life has been Chapel of Our Saviour for the past 21 years. Amanda has found joy and meaning at Chapel, a sacred place that has provided a nurturing environment for raising children, serving God, and connecting with the many extraordinary people of all ages who pass through its doors. When she’s not working as the Marketing Director for Bristol Brewing, Amanda enjoys hiking, traveling, eating, music, any time she can spend near the water, and hanging out with family.

Thank you so much, Amanda, for serving on the vestry at Chapel of Our Saviour!

Godly Play

Children’s Ministry every Sunday, 9:50a

Our children gather in the Loft upstairs from the narthex (church lobby) or in the courtyard (weather-permitting) for a time of exploration and wonder called “Godly Play.” Parents and guardians are invited to sign in upstairs and children rejoin their families during the Offertory.

If your children haven’t joined us yet, they are most welcome, and we look forward to meeting and getting to know them.

At Family Adventure Camp, we will have a chance to both pray and play in the beauty of Cathedral Ridge. We’ll introduce new ways to pray and to listen to the God through nature. We’ll also play together, enjoying and celebrating God’s wonderful world, through traditional camp games, crafts, songs, hikes, ropes course, archery, and campfires with s’mores. Come have an adventure in the mountains with the whole family!

Our Shared Stewardship

Pledging for 2023

We invite you to make a pledge to Chapel of Our Saviour for 2023. The operating budget that makes possible the mission and ministry of this community of faith is derived entirely from your generous giving throughout the year. Pledge forms are available in the narthex (back of the church). For more information about pledging and membership at Chapel of Our Saviour contact our Senior Warden, Susan Garsoe sgarsoe@msn.com

Food Pantry

D2 Pantry always needs more food to meet the growing needs of families. Please add them to your weekly grocery list!

Every week, Chapel of Our Saviour collects food to support the D2 food pantry located at Stratmoor Hills Elementary. This weekly ministry is a part of our longtime and ongoing partnership with Westside CARES, our local homeless advocacy organization. We invite you to bring food on Sundays from the list below. You can put the food in the colorful baskets in the narthex when you come for Sunday services. Our children then bring those baskets to the altar as we present our offerings to God.

Feel free to bring food donations to Allen House (Parish House) foyer during the week from Mon-Thurs 9am - 1pm. Call the office at 719-633-2667 when you arrive.
