Ponderosa Land Update
The County Commissioner voted unanimously in May to devote County staff time to research of the proposed "land swap" for the private portion of the Incline Flume Trail and the Bullwheel.

The Ponderosa land owner has been required to accomplish environmental and archeological studies of the parcel in question.  Those studies are underway. We've been asked and did give input on how to improve/realign the steep section of trail on the private land.  Once studies are completed and the appraisals are done the County can put the land exchange on the agenda for a final vote - this will likely be August or later.
Building Support and Funds for Incline Flume Trail
We have begun working on outreach and fundraising to start the required environmental and heritage studies for making the Incline Flume an official USFS trail.

Our goal is $65,000 to complete all of the remaining work to get Forest Service approval.  So far we've raised $4000 with $1100 coming in just the past few weeks.  Once we get about $10K we will start the studies - trying to complete them by this winter. Thanks donors!!!
