Our Fiscal Year Ends June 30
It's not too late to make a gift before the end of our fiscal year. Please help us keep Healthy Waltham strong by making a contribution! Any amount is greatly appreciated and will support our work in Waltham. Some things you may not know:
  • We serve Waltham ONLY. Your donation goes back into the Waltham community, your neighbors, friends and colleagues.
  • We are a very small organization, so every dollar donated makes a huge difference to us.
  • We often work with some of Waltham's most vulnerable and low-income citizens.
  • We believe education is empowering, and people can learn to lead healthier lives with encouragement and information.
  • We are a 501(c)(3) and all donations are tax-deductible.
We hope you will consider making a gift!  Here's how. Thank you!

Food Demo at Waltham Farmers' Ma rket June  27
Come  see us at the Waltham Farmers' Market on June 27 from 9:30AM-2:00PM! We will be sampling a tasty salad created by our Chef Reva! We are partnering with our friends at the Waltham Fields Community Farm to incorporate tasty local produce. Check out the recipe we will be using and hope to see you there!
Welcome Interns!
We are excited to be working with three wonderful interns from MCPHS University this summer. Liz Marashi and Soumya Mehrotra are both undergraduates and Anthony Lacina is a doctoral student in the field of Public Health. They have been invaluable in helping at various activities and programs this summer, especially our Healthy Food Access Survey (More on this below).

Take the Healthy Food Access Survey
This summer we are conducting a community survey (developed and conducted with assistance from our interns). The survey is open to all who live, work or go to school in Waltham. How easy or hard is it to access healthy foods in Waltham? What are some of the challenges? These are questions that we hope to answer through this survey. Just go to our website to complete the survey. The responses are anonymous. Once you complete the survey, you can enter our raffle for gift certificates, a Healthy Waltham cookbook, and more. Raffle drawing will be at the end of August. Learn more about our Waltham Healthy Food Access Coalition here.
Vote for the Community Day Center Garden
The Community Day Center of Waltham has plans to build a garden near their new location on Felton St. They are very excited to engage many people in growing vegetables to be used for meals served in the center, as well as nutrition and job education. They are hoping to raise some funds through an online contest. You can vote once per day through July 6 through this link. Please vote for the Community Day Center garden!

Stonehurst Walk and Waltham Riverfest
Check out some awesome photos from our 10th Anniversary Walk at Stonehurst on June 7! We had about 60 people attend on a gorgeous day. Big thanks to our partners from the Waltham Land Trust and Stonehurst for making this possible.

Thanks to all who stopped by our table at the Waltham Rivervest on June 20! Click here to see more awesome photos. We were able to chat with many folks about our work. We also used the opportunity to talk about our Healthy Food Access Survey (Fill it out! More here.)
