Career Pathways
Help shape the future economy!
T he Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce is working to align our educational institutions - K-12 and higher education - with the workforce needs of the South Central Kentucky economy. To do this, it is imperative we formalize career pathways for high-demand, high-growth sectors throughout our region. These pathways will identify the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to enter and advance in these high-demand careers in Bowling Green and Warren County.

Seven sectors have been identified in the Chamber's initial approach to creating career pathways. These sectors include: Construction, Manufacturing, Professional Services, Transportation/Distribution/Logistics, Healthcare, Hospitality and Tourism and Government/Public Safety.

With the input of our education and business and industry partners, the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce will create a road map illustrating where employees can enter and exit the education system, the certifications/degrees desired by employers in the pathways and how much a candidate can reasonably expect to earn locally as he or she progresses through his or her career.  Click here to view your industry sector!

For additional information about the Career Pathways, please contact Maureen Carpenter .
