WSAE is excited to announce that the awards celebration and business meeting normally held in the November - December timeframe will now be included as part of the Innovation Summit schedule. The Innovation Summit will take place later in the year with dates and location to be announced shortly. Discussions

Meeting security
During the CE program in conjunction with the golf outing (which was a really great time in case you missed it), the meeting planning discussion briefly touched on security. With the recent events it seems more important than ever that we make sure our events have proper security and "what if" plans in place for live shooters.
Online education
After two great meetings in Madison and Milwaukee, this group is moving on from the fall/winter discussions about webinars. We'll now turn our attention to "How to create an online strategy." Lets start our discussion by telling us your story.

VISIT Milwaukee takes tourism to the s treets
Stunt engages locals, media in tourism success
VISIT Milwaukee was so proud of the recently released 2015 tourism numbers for the Greater Milwaukee area, that it projected them on one of the city's most prominent buildings during National Travel and Tourism Week May 1-7, 2016. Located on a busy downtown intersection alive with weekend evening activity, the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts became a giant outdoor projection screen for colorful and creative graphic design images promoting:
  • Total business sales related to tourism were estimated at $5.1 billion (an increase of 4.1 percent from 2014).
  • Tourism-supported 50,000 full-time jobs.
  • Total labor income was $1.6 billion.
  • State and local tax revenue generated by tourism was $339 million.
