Clerk collects $30.8m in Tourist Tax
From November 2017 to May 2018, the Clerk's office collected $30,846,246 in
Tourist Development Tax, an 8.7 percent increase over last year's peak tourist season.
The 5-percent bed tax is used to pay for beaches, the ball stadiums, and attraction marketing. Twenty-four percent of the funds raised were by property managers and real estate agencies.
