Cheers to Ontario Craft Cider Month!
The Ontario Craft Cider Association has deemed this June our first-ever Cider Month , a time to celebrate and highlight the quality and diversity of Ontario ciders. To mark the occasion, we reached out to Pommies Cider Co. in Caledon.

"The reality is, when we tell people we are made from 100% Ontario apples, it's not just a marketing hook, it's actually a competitive advantage," owner Nick Sutcliffe tells us. "We have the best apples in the world for making cider and Ontario Ciders are unique in their crisp and refreshing finishes.”

A Niagara College professor has shared, “Many ended up working where they did their co-op placements, but there is so much demand they have the choice of where to go.”

Agriculture & Economic Development
Norfolk County Council approved a new Economic Development Strategy earlier this month, with agriculture aptly recognized as a strong economic driver.

“Agriculture is important to the economic development strategy, because food production, farming and agriculture is Norfolk County’s second largest industry sector after manufacturing, in terms of export
values,” Clark Hoskin tells us, Norfolk County’s Director of Tourism and Economic Development.
