Enjoy an Academy Afternoon at the Theatre in NYC
If you live in New York City or are just looking for an excuse to make a trip to the Big Apple... all alumni are invited to enjoy an afternoon with fellow Vikings at a matinee production of "Dropping Gumballs on Luke Wilson"
by playwright Rob Ackerman '76.
After the 2:00 p.m. show on Saturday, June 15, enjoy light refreshments and beverages while taking advantage of an Academy exclusive post-performance dialogue with Rob at The A.R.T./New York Mezzanine Theatre. Attendees will also receive an insider's update on Academy's performing arts program from Stefan Farrenkopf, upper school English teacher and spring musical director.
"Dropping Gumballs on Luke Wilson" is inspired by a true, little-known story about the making of an iconic TV commercial in which a legendary film director puts a movie star's life in the hands of a very nervous props guy. Run time is approximately 75 minutes with no intermission.

Annual Fund Closes June 30
Every year, we ask all members of our Academy community for their help in keeping Columbus Academy's standard of excellence as strong as ever with a gift to the Annual Fund.
If you haven't made your gift this school year, please join in before the Annual Fund closes June 30. We invite you to
make your donation online and let us know if your gift is in honor or memory of a special classmate, teacher or coach. Your participation will honor their legacy and ensure that the next generation of Vikings continues to build upon our strong foundation.
Thank you for your important support!

School News
This year's Honors Assembly included a memorable Cum Laude Address by science teacher Joel Davis, who told the seniors: "
With your rituals, you have helped to make my career what it is today. You have reminded me that teaching is not just a vocation, it is a calling. For that, I thank you." The award presentations
culminated in the announcements of the Alumni Cup to Colin Sullivan, Faculty Prize to Aylah Mendenhall, Andrew William Cary Cup to Dalyn DeCree and Hamill Award to Ginnie Ma (
watch presentations). The event concluded with the
dedication of the 2019 yearbook to our college counseling office.
Congratulations
to all those who were recognized for their outstanding achievements!
