IT'S SUMMER TIME!
and the reading is easy!
I hope your June brings relaxation and time to READ and to just "chill"...though in Atlanta where I live, chilling in the already 90 plus degree highs is challenging.
Thanks for taking time to scroll through my latest news- I hope you take time to view my new book trailer for my upcoming September release
WITH KISSES FROM CÉCILE.
I have a busy summer ahead full of writing, attending conferences and doing book signings, and
just having some good-old-fashioned fun!
I'd love to hear about your summer and, of course, your summer beach or poolside reads, so
drop me a line at my email here!
Or, visit my social media and share your fun summer photos...pics of your dogs and cats very welcome! Here's mine...the labs in the pool are my "granddogs" Khloe and Jobe and the little one is my rescue Jackpot, who is not a swimmer but loves to run around poolside.

drawn together to face life-threatening conflicts
set against the backdrop of
hanging moss and murder, hoodoo and voodoo, hexes and the grotesque.
Enter the story at your own peril, but remember...hoodoo only works if you believe.

MY POOLSIDE READING!
So many books, so little time! <sigh>
|
|
Here's my start-of-summer reading stack...
On top,
THE GOWN
from Jennifer Robson (I loved her SOMEWHERE IN FRANCE and AFTER THE WAR IS OVER and hey, this one is about Queen Elizabeth's wedding dress. I already heart that).
Then, I'll work my way down the pile, reading poolside under the hot Georgia sun:
Jennifer Egan's
MANHATTAN BEACH
(some Amazon reviewers say it's really not good...I'll have to judge for myself because she's a wonderful author!)
Melanie Benjamin's
THE GIRLS IN THE PICTURE
(it had me at 1914 fledgling Hollywood, Mary Pickford and Frances Marion...I can only imagine the #MeToo scandals they endured)
Nina George's
THE LITTLE PARIS BOOKSHOP
(how could I resist two favorite things of mine: Paris and books? I just know I gotta love this one)
Jude Deveraux's
AS YOU WISH
(the review says the story focuses on the question '
What would you do differently if you could do it all again?' Hmmmm...how would you answer that? This is the 3rd installment of her Summerhouse Novels...been waiting for this one)
Viola Shipman's
THE CHARM BRACELET
(
'
Through an heirloom charm bracelet, three women will rediscover the importance of family and a passion for living as each charm changes their lives.'
DANG why didn't
I think of this storyline?)
Winston Groom's
THE ALLIES
(I have to be super-careful reading this one poolside because it's autographed by him to me! I met him at the Milton Literary Festival. Oh, he's the author of FORREST GUMP, which he also autographed for me. #Fangirling)
