We are working on a Taskforce to ensure that, as schools reopen, public education in Connecticut is more equitable, more effective and more accessible. Students have basic needs for food, shelter, child care, health care, internet connectivity and mental health support, and we're helping make sure these basic needs are met.
A heartfelt thank you to the many foundations and corporate supporters that have helped us promptly address urgent needs brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
With guidance from UCONN epidemiologist Dr. Kevin Diekhaus, The West Hartford Village Second Chance Shop will reopen at the end of June and the Glastonbury shop will open after July 4. Simsbury and Suffield shops plan to open around Labor Day.
