June 2020 e-Newsletter
It was an unusual May to say the least! Ministry has looked different for Confirmation and Youth Ministries at Our Saviour's but ministry is still very much happening!
Thank you to everyone for the ongoing participation and support!
We've had some amazing conversations, played games, watched movies and more.
As we have wrapped up our programming year, thank you, thank you for a wonderful year! Please check out all that is happening in June!!

All-church Netflix Parties!

Join Leisha , Director of Confirmation and Youth Ministries, for a Netflix Party! How does Netflix Party work?
  • You need to have a Netflix Account and Google Chrome available on a desktop computer or laptop. Go to netflixparty.com and “Install Netflix Party” (it’s free).
  • Once Netflix Party is installed, you’ll notice an “NP” to the right of your address bar in Chrome.
  • At 4:30 p.m. the day of, the link will be posted on Our Saviour’s Facebook page. Click that link and you will be brought to the movie. Once you get to the movie, click on the “NP” to the right of your address bar to connect with other church family members.
  • We will give people 10-15 minutes to sign in and chat and then we’ll start the movie at 5:10-5:15 p.m. The chat function remains for the movie so you can continue to talk with your church family.

So grab dinner, grab snacks, put on some comfy clothes, maybe even build a fort and get ready for movie night!!

Worship
We are offering worship experiences during this time of quarantine. Here are a few options for Sundays:
10am on Facebook , Our Saviour's website and OSLC YouTube - blended traditional and contemporary.
Current 8th Grade Families...
Please note that you received an email late April with information for Affirmation of Baptism this coming fall. Please check out that information here .

UPDATE - Please note that there are many uncertainties as we navigate life with COVID-19. We will keep you posted as time passes. The information given here for AOB is our hope. However, these plans may change for safety reasons. Please hold off on submitting any payments at this time. As always, if you have any questions, please contact Leisha .
Please note that as things remain so uncertain in this time, we are planning two ways for confirmation programming starting this fall.
Regular in-person programming is ideal but will only happen if it is determined to be safe and in the best interest of all of us.
Virtual programming will take place if in-person programming is not determined to be safe yet. Virtual programming will consist of two time options for large-group lesson on Wednesday evenings. Then every small group guide will choose a day/time to have their small group gathering once a week.
If we begin our programming year with virtual programming, we will move to in-person when it is safe to do so again.
Please keep a close eye on all communications for more information as we have it. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility!
There certainly is a lot going on in our world and in our community right now. If you, or someone you know, is in need of someone to talk to, please know that we are here for you. Feel free to contact Leisha . She is available and can also give further resources if needed. You are in our prayers. You are loved and you are not alone.
