Call for Nominations:
The Prairie Central District Board of Directors welcome community minded sport, culture and recreation enthusiasts to join them on the board. Deadline to submit nominations is June 10, 2020. If you are interested or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact a Director or the District office in Wynyard. Details can be found  here .  
On May 13, the Government of Saskatchewan enacted an order in council to amend the Non-Profit Corporation Act, 1995 to allow for virtual AGMs to be held in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The new guidelines allow corporations to hold virtual meetings, provided that it is not contrary to their own bylaws . Read the Order in Council here

With the Re-Open Saskatchewan plan underway, now is the time for museums to plan the next steps in order to re-open to the public and maintain a safe and healthy environment for staff, volunteers, and visitors. Considerations When Re-Opening Museums  endeavors to outline in board terms the four stages of re-opening museums to the public and encouraging museums to think through what each step will mean for them. The  Government of Saskatchewan’s  Minister of Parks, Culture and Sport is recognizing June 15th – 21st in the province as Recreation Professionals Week for the THIRD consecutive year.

S.A.R.P. will be highlighting a recreation professional each day of the week who has made outstanding contributions that are beneficial to their community through recreation.
S.A.R.P. encourages all members to share pictures of recreation professionals in your community on social media with the hashtag #SKRECPROFWEEK2020 leading up and during the week of June 15th – 21st. They hope to attract more attention to the recreation professionals who help make Saskatchewan an awesome place to live!
