As we start to reopen our public spaces the police department will be increasing patrols in these areas. It is our hope and expectation that people will continue to follow the social distancing guidelines, and wear a mask when they cannot. The police department is not actively looking to cite people, we want to encourage and educate people through this process. It is the adherence to the recommendations and guidelines that will get us back to more of our normal routines. As we expect to see more traffic on the roadways also know we will be increasing our traffic enforcement activities. Warmer weather and more people out and about will have the police department seeing an increase in calls for service, and focusing in on things like traffic and pedestrian safety. Please watch your speed, wear your seat belts, and remember that the no texting while driving law is now in full force.
Many of our departments have online payment options! Check out our website to find details on how to pay bills, apply for permits and more!
