June 2020 Family News

Dear McLean Families,

The warm, sunny days are brightening our spirits and residents have begun to enjoy spending time outside in the courtyard, while wearing masks and still practicing social distancing for their safety. Our new waterfall feature has added a calming effect to this space and many are finding it peaceful to sit by. We are happy to share some pictures of it below, waiting for the days when you, too, can come and sit with us.We have also been able to offer musical entertainment and art projects in our outdoor spaces.

LIfe Enrichment and Dining are working together to create programs and meals for everyone to safely enjoy. Residents are becoming tech savvy by participating in virtual religious services, connecting to volunteers, friends and families; some have engaged in crossword puzzles with their neighbor while sitting in their respective doorways; painting and art activities are offered outdoors and in rooms; and treats like smoothies, root beer floats, and the jolly trolley of appetizers are delivered to rooms weekly.

As always, please feel free to reach out to either one of us any time by phone or email.

Be well,
