2nd year participating!

We invite you to join us for a free, fun, family-friendly event.

There are many ways you can get involved with
NAMIWalks Lake County:

  • sponsor
  • committee member
  • team captain or team member
  • individual walker
  • virtual walker
  • walk day volunteer

However you participate in NAMIWalks, you will be joining NAMI's National movement!
In honor of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan - considered the tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States - each June we come together to celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month.
If you live with a mental health condition and identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and/or questioning (LGBTQ), it is important to prioritize your mental health.

Not all members of the LGBTQ community will have the same experiences. However, discrimination, prejudice, denial of civil and human rights, harassment and family rejection are still tragically common for this community.

Here at NAMI Lake County, we believe in human rights
and mental health for all. We are proud to collaborate with other community agencies to further equality and equity for ALL residents of Lake County. If you or a loved one needs support,
we are only a phone call away.
