First Look Webinar: Exhibit Concept Design
On June 3, the Children's Science Center hosted a virtual "first look" at the exhibit concept design for the future science center developed by the award-winning Roto design team. Joseph Wisne, CEO of Roto, presented a detailed overview to over 70 guests including Board Members, Advisory Board Members, STEM Advisory Council Members, and key campaign stakeholders and supporters. Attendees then had the opportunity to participate in break-out sessions to provide feedback and ideas for the new exhibits and galleries. Thank you to all our guests for your enthusiasm and valuable insights. We look forward to sharing more design concepts in the future!
From museum planning and exhibit development to full-service production and interactive engineering, Roto’s mission is to provide fresh ideas and reliable solutions for today’s leading museums, including the Orlando Science Center, Arkansas Discovery Museum and the Science Museum of Virginia.
Campaign Spotlight: Science Museum of Virginia
The Children's Science Center is proud to partner with the Science Museum of Virginia, the Commonwealth of Virginia's flagship institution for informal learning, boasting a 40+ year history of sparking curiosity and generating ideas in STEM for children and adults alike.

Northern Virginia’s future science center will join the Science Museum of Virginia and the Danville Science Center as part of a state-wide network of science centers. Each facility operates as a division of the Science Museum of Virginia, an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia under the Department of Education. This statewide network of science centers will share resources, knowledge, technology, and industry connections for the greater good of Virginia’s citizens.

Thank you, Science Museum of Virginia, for being our champion for
creating a world-class science center in Northern Virginia!
