Indoor Worship Continues
Christ Church is open for indoor worship at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on Sundays. Masks and social distancing are required. If you do not feel comfortable joining us, the live stream of the 10:00 a.m. service will continue to be posted on our You Tube channel! You can watch it in real time or at your convenience. Happening this Month
Picnic on the Patio
Join us on Sunday, June 13th, immediately following the 10:00 a.m. service for a picnic on the patio!

Beverages and BBQ delicacies will be provided by the church. Those whose last names begin with the letters A - M, please bring a dessert to share. If your last name begins with the letters N - Z, please bring a salad or appetizer. Let's have some fun together!
Christian Education
Sunday School
Christian education for children preschool - 6th grade will take place on the church patio and playground, beginning at 9:45 a.m. on Sundays during June. Contact Susie Mittelstadt, susan@njworks.com, with questions.

Journey Youth Group
Students in grades 7 - 12 are invited to meet with the Reverend Randy Parks on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. Contact Randy Parks at rhparks1963@gmail.com with questions.

Adult Christian Education
A discussion led by the Reverend Canon Robert Griner will take place on the patio on Sundays beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Masks and social distancing are required for all those participating in Christian Education in accordance with New Jersey Department of Health guidelines.
Bible Study
Bible Study will now be offered in person in the church parlor on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. Masks and social distancing are required.
Parish Activities
Christ Church Women
The Christ Church Women's group will meet outdoors in person, Thursday, June 17th, 11:30 a.m., weather permitting.

Alternative dates and times for quarterly meetings to allow those who are unable to attend the monthly gatherings are being discussed. To offer a suggestion, or to volunteer to coordinate an activity, contact Diana Greene at dianatgreene@gmail.com.
Craft Night Returns!
The Keeping in Touch ministry administered by the Christ Church Women's group needs you! On Friday, June 25th, at 7:00 p.m. all are welcome to help create greeting cards to be used to stay connected with parishioners in need. No artistic talent is necessary! Christ Church Book Club
The Christ Church Book Club will meet on Thursday, June 24th, at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom to discuss "The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto" by Mitch Albom.

Sunday Servers & Brunch in a Bag Volunteers
Those who have volunteered to provide flowers, support the Sanctuary, serve as Lectors, Ushers, Acolytes, Crucifers or on the Altar Guild, or assist with the Sunday Brunch in a Bag program can check their schedule on the Christ Church website. Please note that changes may continue to be made to accommodate changing public health guidelines.
Manna House Volunteers
Christ Church provides volunteers to Manna House at the First Presbyterian Church of Newton on the 4th Wednesday of each month. The next volunteer opportunity is June 23rd. Those interested in volunteering are invited to call Laura Booker, 973-384-7635. At this time, meals are distributed at the door with limited volunteers due to public health guidelines.
Altar Guild
The new flower committee is off and running! If you are interested in a beautiful, rewarding ministry, contact Alex Zander (ahzander@yahoo.com) to be assigned to a team immediately. You do not have to be a current member of the Altar Guild, but you will become a member upon volunteering for flower duty. If you are unsure of your skills, you will be trained by experienced arrangers and you will not be expected to work alone.

Parishioners are encouraged to contribute toward the purchase of the flowers on the altar in order to commemorate a special occasion or loved one; Sanctuary Lights or Candles, $20; Altar Flowers, $50. Contact Alex Zander at ahzander@yahoo.com or contact the church office to offer flowers or make a monetary donation.
