Greetings!

The Month of JUNE 2021 has some powerful memories for me and Cynthia. It was in June 2016 that I had 7 strokes in 3 parts of my brain. It’s been 5 years this month that the strokes began to occur and I am a walking, talking miracle now!

It was on June 23rd 2016 that I had 4 strokes in my cerebellum. This was the third day where symptoms happened and I was working out at the gym doing shoulder shrugs when the symptoms of falling to my left took place.

I spent three days in the hospital. Then over the Fourth of July I had two more strokes in my Occipital and had to go back to the hospital by ambulance. That was a 5 day stretch in the hospital where I left with a bunch of symptoms. The last stroke took place on Saturday, July 29th 2016 in my Medulla where the doctors were concerned that this stroke would have affected my heart and lungs BUT IT DID NOT! I spent 3 days in the hospital and got out on August 3rd 2016 and haven’t had a stroke since. I wrote the following after the 2nd set of strokes in the occipital while in the hospital. In September of 2018 my wife Cynthia and me left the pastorate on Long Island after 35 years and relocated to Florida. Beginning in May 2021 we are making another move geographically to Tulsa, Oklahoma! Angels Were On Duty!

My Cynthia drove with our Black Lab from Florida over 3 days to Tulsa, OK with stops just outside of Atlanta, Georgia and Little Rock, Arkansas. As she arrived on my Mother’s street she noticed an older lady driving towards her. She pulled over and came to a stop thinking this woman would move over. To Cynthia’s surprise this lady ran right into her head on! Our 1997 Mazda 626 was totaled by the insurance company. The older woman took 100% responsibility which helped us get a decent settlement for our older car. We have a rental but we are finding that used cars are expensive with100,000-200,000 miles on them. While we await any compensation she might receive for pain & suffering, we need some friends to help us get another car. When my wife was thirteen years old her teeth had become very unattractive. More than half of them had turned black in the front and some were just hollow shells on the side. She, nor her parents, knew what had caused this problem with her teeth. Can you imagine how difficult this must have been for a thirteen year old young lady who was entering the years where her looks had begun to matter to her?
