Making An Impact Throughout the Pandemic
We’re excited to share the Family House Impact Report for 2020, highlighting the work we were able to do last year thanks to generous donor support.

Much has changed since we opened our doors in 1981: Growing from 10 rooms on Irving Street, run entirely by volunteers with a budget of under $200,000 to housing up to 80 families each night with more than 25 employees and a budget of $4.5 million.

And thanks to donor support, Family House will continue to provide hope, comfort and healing for the next 40 years!
Family House Provides Support for Magnum and Tanisha During COVID
Tashina shares the incredible journey thus far of her son Magnum, diagnosed at just four months old with Diamond Blackfan Anemia in this video. He received a transplant at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals in November 2020 and came to stay at Family House. “Going to Family House was just like, home!" Tanisha recalls. "The staff have made their stay enjoyable, safe, and you feel like you’re in a community.”

We’re here for families like Tashina and Magnum, and your support means everything to all of us.
Vera is a three-year old from Reno, Nevada undergoing a bone marrow transplant to treat neuroblastoma. Vera and her older sister, mom and dad have been staying at Family House since September and because of your generosity, food, shelter, transportation and other services will always be provided 100% free of charge to every one of our families.

Bay to Breakers Fundraiser Reaches $10K in Donations!
Thank you to our community! Family House's Young Professionals Advisory Council (YPAC) team officially surpassed their fundraising goal for the annual Bay to Breakers race. Because of their hard work and generous donors, over $10,000 was raised from 70+ contributors. Special thanks to Presenting Sponsor, Eugene M. Lang Foundation, and Virtual Event Sponsors, BridgeBank and Square. Congratulations to the runners for completing the 12K race, as well.
