N.C. Marine Patrol officers
The Marine Patrol vessel slowly neared the shore at the south end of Wrightsville Beach Officer Jason Parker jumps off the boat and begins interacting with the fishermen, serving as a vital source of information.
It’s a warm, cloudy morning as Jordan Byrum, Artificial Reef Coordinator, launches the boat from the dock behind the Division of Marine Fisheries to head to AR-380 where a contractor is adding 200 concrete reef balls to the site.
On a beautiful, cold and windy Thursday morning, N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries’ Recreational Port Agent Amanda Mullikin reports to the Oceanana Pier in Atlantic Beach. Her plans for the day are to survey as many anglers as possible as they leave the pier after a day of fishing.
