Eclipse Season is Here!

Description of the Lunar and Solar Eclipse. One of the most important periods over the last two weeks has been eclipse season once again, which as you all know if you have followed my work, occurs every six months for two weeks, or like last summer for one month since there were three eclipses. This year eclipse season began on May 26, 2021 with the Total Lunar Eclipse (Full Moon) at 11:13 GMT, Tropical. 05° Sagittarius 25'. Sidereal. 11° Scorpio 22’, anurādhā nakṣatra and is followed on June 10, 2021 by the Annular Solar Eclipse (New Moon) at 10:52 GMT, Tropical. 19° Gemini 47’. Sidereal. 25° Taurus 43’. mṛgaśira nakṣatra. This lunar eclipse was a blood moon lunar eclipse because of its totality and the bright red color that will be visible in parts of the world. It was the first total lunar eclipse since January 21, 2019. For more information on the lunar eclipse, go to www.space.com/super-flower-blood-moon-lunar-eclipse-2021-coming-soon.

This upcoming annular solar eclipse is also noted for its ring of fire and will be seen from parts of Canada, Greenland, the Arctic and Russia. In addition to being visible in parts of North America, it should be 75% visible in the Eastern United States, especially through Washington D.C. This could bring intensity to the U.S. since Washington D.C. is the capital. (If you have the Solar Maps computer program from Astrolabe you can see the path of totality, which shows you where the eclipse is 100, 75, 50 and 25 percent visible.) For more information on this solar eclipse, go to www.space.com/ring-of-fire-annual-solar-eclipse-2021.

According to www.space.com, "a solar eclipse occurs when the new moon, which is otherwise invisible, makes a rare appearance by crossing in front of the sun's face, slowly creating the appearance of a "bite" taken from the sun. This continues until the moon fully or partially blocks the sun's disk...An annular eclipse occurs when the moon covers only the middle part of the sun, giving the event a "ring of fire" appearance. The amount of sun that the moon can block on a given eclipse encounter depends on where the moon is located in its elliptical orbit around the Earth. If the moon passes directly in front of the sun when it is near apogee, the point in its orbit where it is farthest from Earth, it will appear smaller than the sun in the sky."

Nodal Connection in the World. Since I always look for when the Nodes cross the eclipse degree the True Node crossed this eclipse degree on January 3, 2021, but was very much in orb throughout November when the Node was at tropical 20° Gemini/sidereal 26° Taurus through mid-February when it was tropical 18° Gemini/sidereal 24° Taurus 18°. That occurs to the true node around the time of the eclipses, and since the previous solar eclipse occurred December 14, 2020, the True Node hovered around the degree of the coming June 10th eclipse (19° Gemini 47’. Sidereal. 25° Taurus 43’) through February with it being very exact to that degree around January 3. Of course this reflected the U.S. election, and its aftermath including all the players, which is culminating on some level now that the eclipse is at that degree. This obviously occurred at the time of the U.S. Capitol insurrection, which is also affirmed by the fact that this eclipse will be 75 percent visible in Washington D.C. so that when the Node hit the degree, intensity emerged. It is also important as I mentioned in the last newsletter that the Moderna and Pfizer applied for the vaccine to be approved between November 30-December 1. The lunar eclipse occurred on November 30 and the Nodes were at the degree where the June 10 eclipse is positioned.

Of course it does not mean this only has to do with the U.S. since anything in the sky applies to the world. There was finally a deal between the EU and the UK in December and so maybe there will be something now emerging that will affect that as well. And on November 27, three days before the November 30 eclipse but with the Node close to where the June's 10 eclipse is located, Iran’s top nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, was assassinated. This is still unresolved but Iran has pointed fingers to the United States and Iran. Will the truth finally be revealed? Time will tell but the Middle East has indeed been heating up with the last few months of crisis in Gaza, a cease fire, and the formation of a coalition government in Israel resulting in the removal of Netanyahu as Israel's prime minister. All of these events above have ramifications for the entire world and not just their own countries because they occurred around eclipses. Of course important events happen all the time, and there are other planetary signatures besides eclipses, but I have found that when events occur around eclipses, they occur around eclipses, or at a time when the Node, Mars or Saturn hits an eclipse degree they often have reverberations throughout the world. Mars also conjoined the eclipse degree on April 6 and was within orb between tropical 18-20 Gemini/sidereal 24-26 Taurus between April 3-April 9. Since the mṛgaśira nakṣatra, where the June 10 eclipse is placed, is ruled by Mars, that planet's position at the same degree was momentous. That was when India began to reveal that the pandemic was out of control.

What does eclipse season mean for you? As I stated in my last newsletter but cannot state enough, in general, eclipse season, is always intense, dramatic, and revealing, for better or worse. Secrets come out of the woodwork and it begins at least a week before the eclipses begin. Prior to the May 26 eclipse, there were revelations in the British media that Princess Diana's interview with Martin Bashir was obtained by showing her false documents. The cyber hacking and ransomware attacks that have occurred lately may accelerate and affect a wider network. This is also due to the combust Mercury in the chart of the eclipse. Watch revelations in the media but also in government and in your personal lives. Be honest if you are holding something back from a friend, family member, partner or colleague since you will probably find out anyway.

Go with the intense energy that an eclipse brings or it will occur anyway and you will be unprepared. But remember to meditate, propitiate the Sun, Moon, and Nodes, and reflect on everything that is occurring in your life especially when it comes to the area that the eclipse is hitting in your chart. Self-care is most important at this time since this eclipse season has seen Mercury and Saturn stationing retrograde, Mars opposing Pluto in the last few days, Saturn-Uranus forming its second square of the year on June 14, followed by Jupiter stationing retrograde on June 20 and Mercury stationing direct on the 22nd. Whew!!! Reflect on the world around you, send positive energy and prayers to everyone, and enjoy inner peace. When you gain strength to stay calm amidst the storm ahead then you will be able to provide strength to yourself and others.

Eclipses create energy, intensity, and they bring to light things that were otherwise hidden. It is important to see in which house the eclipse falls and especially if the eclipse falls on an angle, personal planet, or point in your chart then you will be directly affected by the eclipse. It will activate that point, bringing things to light that the planet or point represents, sometimes positively and sometimes negatively, and for changes in your life of some degree, as if you have been awakened and something has been revealed. Something will be activated, confronted, and ultimately transformed for better or worse.

During times of eclipses, secrets come to light and things get revealed especially during the two weeks between the eclipses. If your spouse or partner is having a secret love affair, or spending money on the side, it will come to light during eclipse season. If you make a business deal, or fall in love during eclipse season, be cautious since there are more things that will come to light as time passes. If you begin a relationship it is bound to have secrets attached to it so wait until a few weeks pass to declare your love. Mostly don't rush into anything since once eclipses end, you will know whether or not this is someone to pursue. That goes for both personal and professional relationships. Anything that happens around an eclipse makes it larger than life.

What is most significant however is that retrograde Mercury at tropical 20 Gemini 41/sidereal 26 Taurus 38 is so close to the eclipse degree on June 10, and that is called combustion, meaning that the planet and what it represents is obliterated by the Sun. In the Indian text Bṛhatsaṃhitā, its author Varāhamihira states that when Mercury conjoins the eclipse it means that women, kings, warriors, princes, and learned would be damaged. Of course the ancients thought eclipses were always negative unless Jupiter was aspecting the eclipse degree, which is is not in this eclipse, so it might be a good idea to simply look at Mercury as representing communications and technology in your own lives and around the world. Do not make any major decisions if you do not have to make them due to the combustion, which some people just take as a very close conjunction. (Of course life goes on and sometimes you must take action though just be very clear especially if it involves contracts or signing documents.) When the solar eclipse combusts a planet, meaning that it is so close that its view is obstructed, it means that whatever that planet rules may be halted, or interfered with, and since Mercury rules communications, and eclipses reveal things that have been hidden, it may be connected with the cyber hacking, and ransomware incidents that have been occurring.

There may be something even more powerful in that area that occurs between a few dates before the eclipse on the 10th and a few dates after the Saturn-Uranus square on the 14th, so let us say between the 8th and the 16th. However whatever happens this week whether it involves cyber hacking or not could also affect the markets, though it could bounce back again once Mercury stations direct on June 22. Mercury also has to do with technology, equipment, travel, and in Indian astrology it rules "princes" meaning literally sons of royalty or even presidents, or adolescents, or people starting out in life. In Western astrology Mercury rules siblings, while in Indian astrology it represents youth in general, and especially adolescents and those on the brink of adulthood. It also represents relatives, like cousins, aunts and uncles, so this may be a time, especially with the pandemic at least here in the U.S. receding, of reunions with families. But since Mercury is still retrograde and combust, do not say anything to harm those reunions. Everyone is still on edge and impatient since Mercury is eager to get on with the show, and combust and retrograde makes it even more impatient. That is why meditation, centering yourself, and taking deep breaths are so important.

When looking at solar eclipses even though this one occurs in tropical Gemini and sidereal Taurus, it will also have an effect on the opposite signs of tropical Sagittarius and sidereal Scorpio. This is why when looking at eclipses, especially the lunar ones, it is important to look at the two signs that are opposite each other, since the signs form an axis. For now that is tropical Gemini-Sagittarius and sidereal Taurus-Scorpio. Since the Nodes will concern itself with the same area, look at which houses in your chart are affected by this eclipse, and if you have planets, points, or angles around those degrees look at what they represent in general and look at the houses they occupy and rule. And remember what you may have started November through January since that will be culminating this month.

If the eclipse falls on or aspects a planet, point or angle in your chart you will be directly affected by the eclipse. Watch for the generic meaning of the planet, the house it rules, the house it occupies, and planets it conjoins or aspects, as they become part of the story. If they do not affect anything they still fall in a house. Scroll below to see the meaning of the houses.

As I have been stating, this coming June 10 eclipse falls in Tropical. 19° Gemini 47’. Sidereal. 25° Taurus 43’ so if you use a whole sign house system, meaning one sign equals one house, you can see where Gemini lies if you practice tropical astrology, and where Taurus lies if you practice Indian or Western sidereal astrology. If you work with whole sign houses this is not a problem as you can immediately see which house it falls in. If you practice an unequal house system, you have to see where it falls according to the degrees. If you do not know your chart, you can look at this from the position of the tropical Sun or sidereal Moon.

Always remember that eclipses wake up secrets and ideas that may be dormant, so you may get an influx of energy, but you have to be patient, since this is the time, to rearrange and transform your ideas and other things in your life. Take this time to figure things out since eclipses bring things to the surface. And they are not always bad. They can bring you promotions, contacts, and offers and this one will take time to develop. Take deep breaths and try not to give in to your anxiety and pessimism. Let peace and optimism bring you into summer and surround yourself with everyone you love. impatience and impulsivity.
If you use Indian astrology. If an eclipse degree conjoins a planet, point or angle in your chart, this is what may be awakened, activated, and transformed.
