Wow oh wow, what a strange start to the summer it has been! We have gone from 90 plus degree days, down to rain and 43 on the day I write this letter. Summer is just around the corner, and warmer weather is sure to be joining us again very soon! We are seeing pools at local Park Districts, Community Centers, Residential Communities and private clubs begin to open, which is always a sure sign of the warmth, and fun that is Summer in Chicagoland.
We received the news of concerts coming back, over 50% of adults being vaccinated, festivals starting up and businesses opening to more and more people. Events are back, and we at the Chamber are thrilled to see people beginning to walk through downtown more and begin to visit our partners throughout the community.
With all the great announcements of pools, events, fests, and more, we are excited to continue to announce that our Annual Chamber Golf Outing will be on July 13th, 2021 at Seven Bridges Golf Club. We hope to see everyone on the course with us, and we hope to continue to be able to see you all more and more throughout the summer months.
We are pleased to also announce that we were able to do an in-person Ribbon Cutting in May for the first time in 8 months. We look forward to doing more ribbon cuttings with our new businesses throughout the summer.

We are happy to announce that our scholarship committee selected two outstanding students to receive a scholarship. The students are Hannah Baur, Lisle High School and Jacob Clements, Naperville Central High School.
The Chamber's Community Map has been printed and delivered to our office. We thank you if your business placed an ad in the map. You may pick up a map at Lisle Village Hall or Lisle French Market. The Chamber has plenty to hand out. We would like to congratulate Tim Ross for his beautiful cover photo. You can also view the online version on our website, www.lislechamber.com.
Thank you to Chef Chris and Heather Marks for hosting an in-person Ribbon Cutting at Dinner Ready on May 20th. We have pictures of the event in this newsletter. It was nice to be able to start getting back to more of our in-person events. We will have some more ribbon cuttings coming up this summer. We will send out the details for the events as we get them.
We are looking forward to our upcoming Annual Golf Outing taking place on July 13, 2021 at Seven Bridges Golf Club. There are still sponsorships available. Expanded Outdoor Dining in Lisle is Back
Just in time for warmer temperatures, the Village of Lisle is continuing its expanded outdoor dining program this year. Lisle’s COVID-19 Outdoor Eating and Drinking Relief Program increases options for restaurants and bars to operate outdoor seating options adjacent to their businesses.
The Program’s goal is to allow for greater social distancing and safety for bar and restaurant-goers and employees with guidance from public health experts and the Restore Illinois Plan. The Village is temporarily allowing businesses to expand existing patio space or establish new patio areas, potentially including parking lots, sidewalks, street parking spaces, to develop outdoor operating areas.
Please take the opportunity to visit the restaurants and bars throughout Lisle, enjoy a variety of delectable meal offerings alfresco, and show your support of our hospitality businesses!

Dinner Ready located in Lisle, celebrated their Grand Opening Celebration Week with a Ribbon Cutting on May 20th. Dinner Ready opened their location at 6480 College Road, Lisle.
Dinner Ready offers mouthwatering meals for the week. These delicious meals are created by Chef Chris Marks, chef and owner of Dinner Ready. The restaurant quality meals are ready in microwave time. Doug Wade
AlphaGraphics Lisle
Doug Wade, Owner of AlphaGraphics Lisle, is this month featured Ambassador. Doug has AlphaGraphics Lisle since October 2012, however AlphaGraphics has been a Lisle Area Chamber member for over 20 years. Doug joined the Ambassadors in January 2013. Being a part of the Ambassadors has been a great way for Doug to meet and visit hey members of the lisle business community by sharing stories of business goals and challenges. The Ambassador Committee remains a really great networking opportunity.
AlphaGraphics Lisle specializes in delivering the very best quality printing, signage, and marketing services solutions to their valued customers. Doug relies heavily on the strength and depth of the AlphaGraphics Lisle team. Doug has a background in business finance and accounting. He is a CPA by background. Doug resides in Lombard with his wife Edie, who is also on the staff at AlphaGraphics Lisle.
While we're all time challenged. Doug always likes to say the benefit of membership in the Lisle Area Chamber is drawn from getting as active as you can as often as possible. ISAC Announces 2021-22 Illinois State Scholars
(Lisle) -St. Joan of Arc parish & school is proud to announce that 19 of the 58 students from the graduation class of 2017 have been named Illinois State Scholars. The ISAC (Illinois Student Assistance Commission) recognizes Illinois high school students who have been named 2021-22 State Scholars for their outstanding academic achievements in high school. This accreditation is given to the top 10% off all high school students (private and public) in the state of Illinois.
It considers their G.P.A. as well as their ACT or SAT score. The 2021-22 designation applies to the year students will begin their postsecondary education.
Benet students include, Lucy Benish, Graham Cooney, Zach Duray, Marlo Lindquist, Chris Mankowski, Elise Nawrocki, Allison Penn, Carlina Pitello, Tasha Rustandi & Katie Testin. From St. Francis, Daniel Popelka, from Downers Grove North, Cole Cook & Michael Forassiepi, and from Downers South, Dyanna Boone.
From Naperville Central, Jake Clements and from Naperville North Mia Fitzgerald. From Lisle High School, Emma Etheridge and Cassidy Allen & completing the list of our Scholars is Alana Odowd from Glenbard South.
