COVID-19 UPDATE
Alberta entered Stage 2 on June 10. If Albertans continue doing their part, all restrictions could be lifted by late June or early July.

Stage 2:
  • Indoor recreation open at 1/3 of fire code occupancy
  • Gyms and fitness studios – open for solo and drop-in activities and indoor fitness classes with 3 metre distancing
  • Youth activities (day camps, overnight camps, play centres) – resume with restrictions
  • Youth and adult sports – resume with no restrictions, indoors and outdoors
  • Distancing and masking requirements remain in effect.

Alberta's Open for Summer Plan safely eases restrictions in 3 stages as vaccination targets are reached and hospitalizations decline.
Masking Policy
Alberta is entering Stage 2 of the Open for Summer Plan which significantly eases restrictions for sports, physical activity, and recreation. With over 60% of all eligible Albertans receiving their first vaccine, Volleyball Alberta will remove our mandatory indoor masking policy and replace it with updated guidance and recommendations.

Coaches & Trainers must wear masks at all times while indoors in Stage 2. Athletes must wear masks when entering and exiting a facility or moving from the competition/training area to other parts of the facility (changerooms). All government masking requirements must be followed.
