Empowering people with disabilities to lead independent and inclusive lives in the community.

A Message from Our Executive Director

Dear Friends,

In previous messages, I have shared with you about the unique aspects of how CILO is organized and operates in accordance with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. In addition to our board, CILO is required to also have our staff be comprised of no less than 51% of people with disabilities. Our core values guide us to be intentional in welcoming people of all backgrounds; we strive to be a model of diversity and inclusion. This diversity is expressed across our staff of 16 individuals as well as our hundreds of consumers.

I often thank our staff for their hard work and dedication to our mission, but their determination started long before they came to our organization. As our community celebrates so many graduates this year, I want to recognize our staff and the choice they made to make their education a priority. Our staff holds degrees and certificates from the following institutions of higher learning:

Northern Kentucky University
Wright State University
University of Kentucky
Illinois State University
Indiana University
Spertus Institute
Wilmington College
Capella University
Gateway Community College
University of Cincinnati
University of Phoenix
Heidelberg College
Brown Mackie College
Louisiana Tech University
Xavier University
New York University
Belmont University
Bluffton University
Art Academy of Cincinnati

I truly enjoy working with each of our employees and value the experience and skill they bring to the table. I am most proud of how our staff has maintained service delivery throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and look forward to great things in the future. As always, I want to hear from you. Please contact me at 513-338-5100 or by email.
Regards,

Rob Festenstein

P.S. I once again have a $10 Starbucks gift card to the first person to contact me by email indicating you have read my message.
