A Month for CELEBRATION

Graduation is upon us and our students worked hard through a challenging year so we are elated that we are able to gather in person to recognize their efforts and accomplishments! Look out for a special newsletter later this month to honor our grads.

Although students will continue learning during ESY, our staff also take time during the summer to prepare for next year and I’m excited about the new programs and plans we are developing such as the launch of our counseling corner web page. Have a wonderful summer!!

Camp Newton 2021

Our Nevada school, Newton Northern Nevada received the Autism Speaks Norma and Malcolm Baker Recreation grant for its upcoming summer camp!

2021 Camp Newton is a 3- week project-based and socially-focused summer day camp that weaves a social emotional learning experience into the daily focus of sports, arts, engineering & science curriculum. Campers are provided a safe environment where youth are encouraged to interact with their neurotypical peers and learn from those valuable social interactions.

A big THANK YOU to Autism Speaks for making it possible!
Newton Tuition Assistance Program 2021-2022

Newton Northern Nevada received a grant from The Nell J. Redfield Foundation for its tuition assistance program!

Due to this generous grant, Newton will be able to consider pandemic financial hardship to help even more families in Washoe County!

Counseling Corner

This school year has been flying by and summer school is around the corner. We finished up the last couple months of school with our Health Week presentations and Internet Safety. It is important to remember as summer is nearing to remind students to be safe while using the internet. There are many resources out there for our teachers and parents.
