Outdoor Roving Gyms are back for summer!
The Lethbridge Sport Council is excited to announce that Stage 2 of Alberta's 'Open for Summer' plan means we can launch our summer ROVING GYM program!! Gyms have begun, and will be held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, weather permitting. Full details, including the locations, registration, and COVID protocols can be found on the LSC website.

LGBTQI2S+ Sport Inclusion Task Force launches equity, diversity and inclusion website
To kick off Pride Month, the LGBTQI2S+ Sport Inclusion Task Force (SITF) announced the launch of its new website on Tuesday. The site will support National, Provincial/Territorial, and Local/Club Sport Organizations intent on making their organizations more equitable, diverse, and inclusive for those who identify as LGBTQI2S+

Community Room Re-Opens
The Lethbridge Sport Council Community Room is located on the second floor of Nicholas Sheran Ice Centre, and is now accepting bookings. There are currently restrictions in place, including 1/3 capacity, contact tracing, health screening, and increase sanitation. Effective July 2nd full capacity bookings will be accepted. ASDCSW is ready to go with 2 great programs for athletes. The two programs include Speed & Agility, and Summer 2021. Both of these programs through the Athlete Enhancement Program (AEP) have begun but are still accepting new participants. Registration is open now on the ASDC website.

Sport Lending Library
Did you know the Lethbridge Sport Council has an inventory of equipment and supplies that can be loaned or rented (depending on the item) to local sport organizations, classrooms, families, and individuals?
This includes items like our synthetic ice, sets of flags, outdoor games, and event supplies.

Senior's Week
Although Seniors Week has passed, it is never too late for all ages to discover the active opportunities around them. Adults age 65+ are encouraged to participate in a variety of physical activities that are enjoyable, safe and get their bodies moving and hearts pumping! We put together a list of some programs and activities to help stay active and moving!
