PACK 25, SHELTON - held their Pack Pinewood Derby on Saturday May 15th. It was a great turn out with lots of energy. Youth enjoyed watching their cars race down the track. The Pack handed out trophies to the winning cars and they had certificates for an additional seven categories for the cars. Pack 25 also wishes to thank their parents for the great help they received.

TROOP 25G, SHELTON - Recently was at Booth Memorial to clean and spread new mulch in the flower garden. The unit also during the month of April participated in a Letterboxing hike at the Shelton Dog Park. There are sixteen themed boxes to locate. The Troop did a three hour and 3 1/2-mile hike and found and collected the stamps from 9 boxes. As the youth are collecting the stamps they are learning about each dog. One of the stamps was called "War Dogs". This stamp honors all the dogs that assist our troops. Used to sniff out traps, explosives, and hidden bunkers. The Troop had a great day and is excited to return and complete the rest of the group.

TROOP 55, SHELTON - Troop 55 assisted the Derby-Shelton Rotary Club with their recent Shred Day. They also collected six (6) bags of trash and an assortment of bulk junk along Beard Sawmill Rd for Shelton Clean Sweep. Then the Troop went and had ice cream.

HOUSATONIC COUNCIL - The Housatonic Council returned to the Edmund D. Strang Scout Reservation for the Phoenix Camporee - Renewal Rebuild. Units participating enjoyed returning to the outdoors and contests of fire building, rope burning, flag raising, bird identification, and compass points.

The day started off quickly with the units completing several stations very early in the morning, but as the sun rose and the weather turned hotter and got the best of everyone as we slowed down to enjoy being outside once again to enjoy Camp Strang.
