Text Line & Web Chat services launched!

MHWSS is excited to officially launch our text and web chat services so those experiencing family violence and abuse have another way to connect with us for support, information, safety planning, intake into shelter, and more!

People can now text 587-850-5885 to connect with one of our Crisis Intervention Workers. A web chat option is also available by visiting our newly redesigned website, at mhwss.ca.

Text line and web chat options will be available from 7AM to 11PM daily. Outside of these times, we ask people call our 24/7 help line at 403-529-1091.

As these services roll out, we will continually be evaluating the demand and use of them, so we can respond and adapt them to what will best fit the needs of our community.

A big thank you to MHWSS staff whose hard work and dedication have made the launching of our text line and web chat services possible!

• Bean Bag chairs (For our teen space at Musasa House)

Support our S.A.F.E. Program!

Our Summer Adventure Fun Educational (SAFE) Program provides summer-camp style activities in July & August for children and youth connected to MHWSS services. Want to help make this year's SAFE Program a huge success? Connect with us about donating the following items:

Scotiabank Group presents the 20th Annual Medicine Hat Women's Shelter Society's Charity Golf Classic!

Registration is now open for our annual tournament, taking place August 31st, 2022, at Medicine Hat Golf & Country Club.

Enjoy a fun day of golf and while contributing to the shelter's work in supporting victims of family violence.

Tournament runs rain or shine!
Lunch at noon
Shotgun start 1pm.
Registration is $175/golfer, or $700 for a team.
Registration includes lunch, cart, golf, buffet dinner and more!
Mulligans and 50/50 tickets available on the course.
Buffet Dinner and awards presentation at approx. 6:30pm.

New this year is our partnership with Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink. Every dollar we raise through our tournament is eligible to be matched by up to 50% through this partnership!

We're excited to be a participating charity in Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink!

Donations made to MHWSS through the BFK program will be matched up to 50%. It's a great way to make your support for MHWSS go even further. 100% of donations to MHWSS through the BFK program will go towards the services and supports we provide to families in our community as we work to end family violence.

For $20 each, we have black toques featuring our tree logo, available in two styles: One with a brim, and a brimless slouchy style.

Also available for $15 are canvas tote bags, featuring the art of our "Growing Hope in the Community" mural, situated downtown on the side of Station Coffee House.

We still have available a limited number of the Wrapped in Courage purple scarves with the phrase “The Courage of a Woman Alone is Not Enough. Believe Give Inspire” for $10.
