It's summer and the living is busy.

IPW, our annual Allied Member meeting, a board planning and budget meeting, a French sales mission, and press visits.

June has been full!

It's been great to get back to shows, missions, and more active marketing and public relations.

And while everyone enjoys some well-earned vacation time, I hope you'll remember that fall is right around the corner, and with it comes our first-ever Global Travel Exchange. So far, nearly 25 CRUSA-region DMOs, hotels, and attractions have signed up. Please join us in Washington DC, October 10-12 for what is sure to be a great event promoting the region.

A big thanks to our friends at the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority for restarting their funding support of the Capital Region after Covid. Their substantial investment is funding our largest ever digital advertising campaign, running now through the end of the year, as well as direct tour operator marketing programs, that we'll select in the fall to promote visitation in 2023.

Be on the lookout for more information about upcoming marketing and mission opportunities, and don't forget the CRUSA Holiday Guide. Carly Steadman Norosky is taking placements right now and there's never been a better time to advertise your community to our international markets.

Enjoy the summer!

Reservations Now Open for CRUSA's 2023 Marketing Program

After more than two years away, overseas visitation is rebounding and international travelers are eager to return to the United States. Keep your destination top of mind as these travelers are planning their American holidays by participating in CRUSA’s 2023 Marketing Program.

CRUSA's overseas offices continue to promote the region, train travel agents, and fulfill requests for information. Their primary tool for doing all this? The Capital Region USA Holiday Guide produced by Miles Partnership.

Produced in four languages, the holiday guide is packed with travel tips, itinerary suggestions, and compelling stories and photography.

The guide will be released in market winter 2023, inspiring travelers who will be eager for an American holiday to pick the Capital Region for their 2023-2024 vacations.

In addition to the holiday guide, CRUSA’s Marketing Program includes website ads, consumer newsletter features, and social media coverage. As CRUSA is about to launch a fresh new site, now is the time to make sure your destination is featured on capitalregionusa.org, available in seven languages!

Be sure to budget for this key market segment of overseas travelers who stay longer and spend more money!
