Berea Anime Fest

Berea Anime Fest is a free family event hosted by the Madison County Public Library, Berea Parks and Recreation, and Berea Kids Eat. This fun-filled day will include an anime cosplay contest, tabletop gaming with Berea's Bad Wolf Gaming, anime face painting, and a showing of Studio Ghibli's "My Neighbor Totoro" at 6pm. Noodle Nirvana and Bumble Bites will be on site with free food for all attendees.

Join us for a day at the L&N Depot as we explore life on the railroad!
Check out the model trains and train memorabilia while enjoying live music, activities for the kids, and a wide variety of vendors.

L&N Day doesn't end at the station, though!

The Taleless Dog, Berea's newest book store, will be celebrating their grand opening on June 4th and will have some fantastic train books on hand for the occasion.

Local watercolor artist, Bob Berger, will be available for a meet and greet at the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen throughout the day alongside his display of train-themed paintings.

The Top Drawer Gallery will be selling handmade toy trains crafted by a Kentucky artist.

Village Life will be hosting a performance of the Bluegrass Cloggers beginning at 5pm.

HomeGrown HideAways cordially invites you to the Holler in the Holler Musicians Memorial Concert Series featuring opening performances by young musicians from the Rock School program at Lexington Music Education. This show is dedicated to the memory of musician and artist Pat McNeese. Join us on the 3rd Tuesday from May through October to celebrate our remembered friends. Each event will have a Food Truck onsite – cash preferred.

Every Wednesday morning the Welcome Center here at the L&N Train Station hosts an incredibly talented group of wood carvers! Stop by and watch them work on the platform behind the building any time between 10:00am and 12:00pm.

You can even purchase raffle tickets for a piece of their beautiful work!

Berea KY Tourism LearnShops
Berea KY Tourism LearnShops offer the next step in your artistic journey. With year-round courses you can explore a broad range of art, including music, painting, authentic Appalachian crafts, woodworking, and so much more.

Whether you are looking for a class for beginners or you are already an experienced artist, take your skills to the next level with LearnShops.

All programs are taught by talented artists and professionals. The LearnShop programs include seasonal weekend LearnShops, The Berea Festival of LearnShops (July 15-24, 2022), and the popular Make It Take It Give It LearnShop for the Holidays.
Teaching from the Berea Urban Farm
Sustainable Berea is offering a free educational series via Zoom for those new to home gardening. Each 45-minute event will begin with a short lesson on a specific topic that will help guide beginners through their first growing season.

Second and fourth Saturday of each month from 10 am to 10:45 am.
